According to Feed Nova Scotia, of the 40,000 Nova Scotians that use the food bank each month, 1 in 3 is a child. We created a photo-mosaic for Canstruction to illustrate this staggering fact.
As prevalent as the issue of hunger is in our community, it can, at times, be difficult to see the problem when it’s right in front of us. Sometimes we must step back to raise our awareness and change our perspectives - only then does the issue come into focus. To that end, visitors were asked to take the escalator to the upper floor to properly view the piece. The hope was to focus people’s perspective on the issue of child hunger in Nova Scotia.
